Nocturne Wraith

Starter Nocturne. Last in the public trio. Win by being missing, not by being loud.

Wraith

Wraith closes the starter set. The badge lists Nightweaver, Prototype, and Wraith. The early-access killer showcase saves Wraith for the final chapter. The name tells you the stance: you are the empty doorway, the teammate who was “just behind you,” the night form that arrives from a room nobody checked.

Rules are still the trial rules. Drink serum without an audience. Devour in the dark. Lie in the vote. Do not let a hatch open. Flavour is stealth. Scoreboard is wipes. Read how to play Nocturne for the loop and the Nocturne tier list for current order versus Nightweaver and Prototype.

Identity

Wraith is not a speech kit. If you like typing novels in chat, you will throw games. The human phase should be a ghost of a good Survivor: you appear on a breaker, you leave, you are not the person orbiting vials in the open. The drink happens in a gap. The hunt happens on a rotation path.

Ruined Cathedral geography is a gift — pillars, side chapels, doors that cut the nave. Even on other tiles, play “door monster,” not “hallway mascot.”

Human phase

  • Be seen once, usefully. Then be gone. People cannot accuse a path they did not watch.
  • Do not triple-pass the same bottle. Wraith players get greedy because they believe they are invisible before the sip. You are visible until the animation is done in cover.
  • If a Survivor follows you, abort the drink. Repair something. You have two cycles; you do not have two reputations.

Night phase

Stand where people must walk when the gas pours. Official Survivor copy says escape to the next area. That sentence is a Wraith lunch menu. You do not need to outrun a full lobby in the open. You need to be on the bottleneck with the lights already dead.

After a pick, vanish again. Players who teabag in the aisle get the remaining Survivors to the hatch for free. Your win condition is nobody out, not a clip.

Vote phase

Say little. Vote with the room or offer a single location fact (“they were in the left wing forever”). Wraith chatting like Nightweaver is a costume fail. If you are accused, a short breaker alibi is enough. Perfect memory of everyone else’s path is a tell.

Badge grind

Ten Wraith wins. For many players this is the last third of Jack of All Trades and the easiest to rush if you already understand serum stealth. Do not rush so hard you skip drinks. An undrunk Wraith is just a quiet Survivor with extra steps. Codes still help the shop. Wendigo still does not replace this step.

Survivor answer

Door discipline. Buddy system. Headcounts after each blackout. If a name was missing for a full wing tour and then votes like a scholar, that is your note. Do not solo-chase a Wraith into a side room “to confirm.” Confirm with power logs and vial linger, then hatch. Living-side detail: how to survive, Survivor tier list, controls so you can actually look behind you on mobile.

Be missing. Drink once. Stand on the exit. Leave no one to tell the architects what you were.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Is Wraith a starter Nocturne?

Yes. Ten Wraith wins are required for Jack of All Trades along with Nightweaver and Prototype.

Should Wraith talk a lot?

No. Short facts or silence. Loud Wraiths get read as players performing stealth instead of doing it.

Where does Wraith hunt?

On rotation paths and doorways when gas forces a room change, not in the open aisle after a kill.

How do Survivors beat Wraith?

Pair up, count heads after blackouts, watch skipped breakers, and play for the hatch instead of a solo confirm chase.
